Frequently Asked Questions
01. The Brand
Tom Miller is a homegrown Indian premium eyewear brand. We design frames and sunglasses for people who have outgrown their first pair of online glasses and are looking for something better — better materials, better craft, an honest price. We are backed by nearly five decades of eyewear experience inside our family business, and we launched the Tom Miller brand in 2026.
Delhi. Our brand, design, and customer experience teams are based here. Every Tom Miller piece is manufactured by hand at our workshop in Gujarat — India's eyewear-making heartland — using Italian acetate and Japanese titanium that we source directly from established mills abroad. Indian craft, world-class materials.
Tom Miller is run by two brothers. One leads sourcing, manufacturing, and B2B distribution — drawing on relationships built over decades in the eyewear trade. The other leads direct-to-consumer, marketplaces, and creative direction. The brand sits on top of a family business that has been in eyewear for close to fifty years, which means every frame we ship benefits from experience that most new brands have to learn the hard way.
The name is intentional. It is short, easy to remember, and does not lean on any single language or region. Tom Miller is an Indian brand with global craft standards, and the name reflects that — quiet, premium, and built to travel.
You can find Tom Miller on Myntra and Amazon (where we list our premium tiers), at a curated set of opticians across Delhi, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Jalandhar, and Jhansi, and at select trade exhibitions through the year. Use the store locator on our website to find a Tom Miller stockist near you.
02. Materials & Craft
Our acetate frames use Italian acetate from established mills in northern Italy — the same supply base that the world's best eyewear brands buy from. Our metal frames use Japanese titanium, valued for being light, hypoallergenic, and forgiving on the bridge of the nose. Our hinges are precision components built to take years of opening and closing without loosening.
Most affordable eyewear uses injection-molded plastic — fast, cheap, and visibly cheap. Italian acetate is plant-based, hand-polished, and develops a depth of color that injection molding cannot reproduce. It sits warmer against the skin, holds its shape better over years, and ages with character instead of just wearing out. The difference is obvious in your hand.
Japan has spent decades perfecting titanium eyewear, particularly for thin-frame and rimless designs. Japanese titanium is exceptionally light, resists corrosion (important if you sweat or live near the coast), and is hypoallergenic — important for anyone whose skin reacts to nickel or other metals common in cheaper frames. It also flexes without losing shape, which means the frame stays adjusted longer between visits to the optician.
Yes. Our sunglasses use 1.1 mm polarized lenses across the range. Polarization cuts the glare bouncing off water, glass, and roads, which is why our lenses feel calmer and clearer to wear than ordinary tinted lenses. Every Tom Miller sunglass also blocks 100% of UVA and UVB.
From the moment the acetate sheet is selected to the moment the frame is packed, a single Tom Miller frame passes through multiple hands across multiple days at our Gujarat workshop. Cutting, milling, tumbling, hand-polishing, hinge-setting, lens-fitting, and quality control — each step is done by someone who has done it thousands of times before. Premium is not the price. It is the process.
Yes. Every Tom Miller piece is made by hand at our workshop in Gujarat. The cutting and milling stages use precision machines because no human hand cuts acetate to the tolerance an eyewear frame requires. Everything after that — polishing, finishing, hinge work, lens-fitting, quality checking — is done by hand by craftsmen who have spent decades in the trade. A Tom Miller frame is the result of imported world-class materials, Indian hands, and precision machinery working together.
03. Pricing & Discounts
We price our frames at what they actually cost to make well, plus an honest margin. Our entry tier starts at ₹990 and our premium tier runs above ₹3,500. Inside that range, you pay for what you get — material, craft, lens quality, finishing. We do not inflate our MRP so we can discount later. The price you see is the price the frame is worth.
We do not run discounts on our website. We believe in honest pricing — if a frame is worth ₹3,500, we price it at ₹3,500 every day of the year. Brands that constantly discount are telling you their original price was never real. We would rather be straightforward.
On Amazon, we occasionally run buy-one-get-one offers to clear slower-moving inventory rather than mark prices down — this keeps the brand integrity intact while moving stock. On Myntra, marketplace-led promotions are part of the platform's own structure. Our website remains the single source of truth for honest, everyday pricing.
Maximum retail price (MRP) is the same everywhere. Marketplace platforms run their own promotional structures from time to time, so day-to-day pricing on Myntra or Amazon may move. Our website holds the line on MRP.
04. Buying & Fit
Optical frames on our website are sold as frame-only by default. You can take your Tom Miller frame to any trusted optician — including the partner opticians listed on our store locator — and have your prescription lenses fitted there. If you prefer, you can also buy through a Tom Miller stockist who will handle the prescription end-to-end for you.
Yes. Every frame on the website has a virtual try-on you can use from your phone or laptop camera. It is a useful guide for shape and proportion, but it cannot replace seeing the frame on your face in person. If you want absolute certainty, visit a Tom Miller stockist near you.
Yes — we would rather you take a minute longer and pick the right frame than rush a purchase. Write to us on WhatsApp or email with a clear photo of your face (front-on, no glasses) and the two frames you are considering, and we will give you an honest opinion. We will tell you if neither of them suits you. That is the kind of brand we want to be.
Most faces have more options than people think. We will be launching a face-shape style guide on the website soon to help you narrow down your choices. In the meantime, the simplest rule is — if you have a softer face, sharper frames balance it; if you have a sharper face, softer rounded frames work well. Beyond that, taste matters more than rules.
05. Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
We ship across India. International shipping is on our roadmap and we will announce it on this page when it is ready.
Most metro and Tier-1 city orders are delivered within 3 to 5 working days. Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities take 5 to 8 working days. You will receive a tracking link by email and SMS once your order ships.
Yes. Shipping is free on every order on the Tom Miller website. We do not believe in adding a delivery charge at the last step of checkout.
You have 7 days from the day of delivery to return your frame, as long as it is unused and in its original packaging. We will arrange a free pickup from your address. Once the frame reaches our facility and clears a brief authentication and quality check, we credit your refund within 5 to 7 working days. The refund is issued as Tom Miller Points — 1 point equals ₹1, sitting in your account, no expiry ever — that you can use on any future Tom Miller order.
Tom Miller Points are our refund and goodwill currency. 1 point = ₹1. They sit in your account against your registered phone number and email, they never expire, and they can be used on any future Tom Miller order — frames, sunglasses, anything we sell. You can save them up, combine them across multiple returns, or burn them all on one order. They are yours, until you spend them.
If a frame arrives damaged in transit, has a manufacturing defect, or you received the wrong product, write to us within 48 hours of delivery with a clear photo or short video showing the issue. Once verified, we credit you 125% of the price of the affected item as Tom Miller Points. We will also arrange a free pickup of the damaged frame.
Effectively, yes — through Tom Miller Points. Return the frame within 7 days, receive 100% of the value back as points, and use those points to order a different style, colour, or size. There is no extra step or paperwork. If your new frame costs more than your points balance, you pay the difference; if it costs less, the remaining points stay in your account for next time.
Yes, as long as the order has not shipped. Write to us as soon as possible and we will cancel and refund. In cancellation cases, you can choose between Tom Miller Points or a refund to your original payment method — your call. Once an order ships, the standard return policy applies.
Tom Miller Points from a single original order can be used across a maximum of five orders. We set this limit to keep the system fair — we want you to be able to try and find what you love, but at some point, we would rather you commit to a piece than keep cycling through the catalogue. Points earned from any new original purchase (paid with cash) start a fresh cycle.
06. Warranty, Repair & Care
Yes. Every Tom Miller frame is covered by a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects — hinge failure, lens delamination, frame splitting at a stress point, and similar issues. The warranty does not cover damage from drops, sitting on the frame, or pets. If something fails within a year due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it, with no shipping cost to you.
Accidental damage (drops, impact, breakage), normal wear like scratches on lenses from use, damage caused by chemical exposure (household cleaners, hair spray, perfume), and any modification done by an unauthorised optician are not covered. If you are unsure whether your issue is covered, write to us with photos and we will tell you honestly.
We repair Tom Miller frames at a fair charge for as long as the parts are available. Send us photos of the damage and we will give you a repair quote within 48 hours. Most repairs are completed within 7 to 10 working days. We would rather you keep wearing a frame you love than replace it because something small went wrong.
Use the microfibre cloth that comes with your frame to clean the lenses. Wash the frame with mild soap and lukewarm water if it gets oily; dry gently with a soft cloth. Never use tissue, paper towels, or household glass cleaner on the lenses — they will scratch the coating over time. When you are not wearing them, keep them in the case we provide. Do not leave them on the dashboard of a car; heat warps acetate.
Yes. Frame adjustment — tightening temples, straightening bent arms, adjusting the nose bridge — is standard work that most opticians do well. If you want it done by someone who knows our frames specifically, visit a Tom Miller stockist from the store locator.
07. Sustainability & Authenticity
Our acetate is plant-based, made primarily from cotton and wood pulp rather than petroleum-based plastic. Our manufacturing partners follow established environmental standards. We are honest about where we are on the sustainability journey — we are not perfect, and we are not going to greenwash. We are building a brand that lasts, which is in itself the most sustainable choice in fashion — a frame you wear for five years instead of replacing every season.
Every Tom Miller frame has the brand name engraved on the inside of the temple, the model code (M followed by four digits and a colour code) printed clearly, and ships in a Tom Miller branded case with a microfibre cloth and product card. If you bought from our website, from Myntra, from Amazon, or from a listed stockist, it is authentic. If you bought from somewhere not on our channel list, write to us with photos and we will confirm.
No. Any other listing claiming to sell Tom Miller online is not authorised by us. We list our premium tiers on Myntra and Amazon, and our full range on our website. Offline, we sell through our verified partner opticians listed in the store locator.

09. Customer Support
WhatsApp and email are the fastest ways to reach us. We respond within one working day, usually faster. The details are listed at the bottom of every page on the website.
Yes — for customer service questions and store-related queries. The number is listed on the contact page. We prefer WhatsApp for most queries because we can share photos and references back and forth, which is more useful than a phone conversation for an eyewear question.
Write to us. If your question is good enough to be missing from this list, we will add it here, and we will write back to you personally with the answer. Building the brand is a conversation, and your questions are part of it.
